How many times have you received phone calls which promised to put you on Google's first page? If you have a website, it is a constant battle to decide which email or call to trust and which to ignore. I probably receive more of these emails and phone calls as my clients, and being in this business long enough, I recognize the false ones. Once in a while, when I have time, I enjoy playing along. Agent: We noticed that your website is not on the first page on Google. We can help you to be on Google's first page. Me: Great, that's what I need! Could you tell me how you will do it? Agent: We will do our secrets on your website to make it to the first page. Me: Great, but could you give me a little bit more details? Do you need access to my website? Will you change the images and the content? Agent: No, we don't need access to your website, you just pay a fee, and we will put you on Google's first page. Me; Interesting, so you don't need access to the website, but you will rank me. How will you do it? Agent: Easy. We own Google, so we can put you on the first page, and it is that simple. Me: Do you own Google? Hmmm Agent: Yes, that is correct. And for some reason, this conversation did not continue too long :-)

Did you know that 100y ago Worcester, MA was the capital of corset making in the US? Why do I know it? Because we had Covid and a beautiful woman started researching the History of Corsets making in Worcester in her spare time. Small project turned into a big one, a couple of pages turned into hundreds of pages, and a couple of old images turned into hundreds of historical documents. What would you learn by reading this? - How Worcester made corsets made in Paris shop windows. You would learn about the first woman business owner, who hired a man to negotiate with male business owners. - How a $950 corset looks like. - How women in Australia get certified by a Massachusetts Corset Training School. Are you a business owner with a website? Listen now! Do you want to spear your website visitors from frustration? Before every website consultation, I check out the business's website. There are two big reasons to do so. 1. I want to learn more about them and 2. I need to see the customer experience on their website. There is so much to learn in that two small steps. A big mistake that I find a lot is broken links. Most of the time, social media links go nowhere, or the URL is wrong or go to the default URL. If you have not set up FB and IG, just remove them from the page. If you have them, connect them to the correct URL. Business owners, please visit your own website, check your links, click your buttons, and check your contact forms and pages. Believe me, it doesn't take much time and it will spare website visitors from frustrations.
