Have you ever asked for a referral on social and got annoyed finding the info you needed? Recently I asked and received numerous links to FB pages. What I learned from this experience 1. A social media page is not for those who want to make a decision quickly to hire you or not. A social page is full of random posts, memes, fun shared videos, etc but not much about your service. Some of these businesses did not even have a link to a website and that annoyed me. There are times when we have weeks to follow a business and learned about it this way, but othertimes you need something quick and effective. A social page is not a substitute for a well-designed website. 2. I received many links to personal profiles and most were empty. The About page had no link to a website, no link to a FB page, nothing. There was ZERO info for those people who were not friends. Like me. If you wish people know about your business, you have to make it easy for them to find it. Do you guess how many I contacted?

Where do you spend your marketing time and energy? How do visitors find your website? Social media, Google, newsletter, referrals....? If you spend 80% of your marketing energy on social media, but the result is poor, what do you do? Do you continue with double energy or do you start focusing on something else?
