I had two very sad conversations today. The first prospective client was telling me about her bad experiences with web designers, one who just disappeared in the middle of projects and the other who got a corporate job and left her with an unfinished website. And of course, she was very suspicious about hiring somebody again. I hate to hear and defend our industry reputation. I feel that if I am not able to finish a project, I find somebody who would. :-( My other sad story from a different phone call, when the website owner told me that she had 1 phone call only in 5 years because they found her website. How sad it is? :-( I am working on many good looking websites, which are completely not SEO friendly. And the poor owner has no clue it won't bring no business to her unless we fix it. Anybody has similar experiences?
