I'm not sure about you but I definitely need this encouragement once in a while. While I feel brave enough most of the time, there are some things I just postpone because those are inconvenient, not nice, not easy, or something about them stops me. 5+1 random fact you might be surprised to learn about me:⁠ 👉 1. I was born in Hungary, but lived a couple of years in Germany and Austria. 👉 2. I came to the USA with no English, because I learned only German and Russian in school. 👉 3. Originally I'm an art teacher, and therefore I got the patient to explain geeky things in plain terms. :-) 👉 4. When I started designing webpages there was no Wordpress, no Wix, but simple HTML. ( now you can judge my age :-) 👉 5. I'm a Pisces girl, so I have dual personalities :-) I can be an extrovert and an introvert at the same time. I love small groups, but not big ones. I need my alone time to recuperate so I will be ready to lead again. Additional 6. 👉👉 I hitchhiked in Belgium and Germany in two summers with a backpack and a sleeping bag. We overnighted at different locations in different cities, parks, playgrounds, a soccer field, at the beach in Ostende, or at a train station in Stuttgart... We met a lot of great people. I know that you’ve wondered before about why a competitor’s website is higher on Google than yours. Why do the others get the traffic while your website is hiding on the 3rd page on Google? You know about the importance of SEO and the good result that it brings. More traffic, more customers, and bigger profit. Most SEO tools are pretty pricey, but there are some really good that are FREE. I would like to share a couple of my favorites with you in the coming weeks. Let’s start with a Chrome Extension tool that is also available for Firefox and Opera: SEO Quake. https://ift.tt/2cogeSQ In just one click it will show you any website’s important SEO parameters, like: • Page title • Meta tags • The meta description, and how many characters it is • Internal and external links • Headings H1, H2, H3 • If the images have alt tags or not • Text/HTML ratio and recommend what to add • A very detailed list of internal and external links • Keyword density on each page and how these words are placed on the page • And much more With this tool, you can look at your competitor’s page’s data and see why they rank higher than you. SEO Quake can be connected to a free SEMrush account which I will introduce you to, later. With a SEMrush account, you can see even more of your or your competitor’s sites. So why look at your competitor's website? Good question! If your site is behind other websites, that means they are doing something better than you.
